The cabinets decide how the kitchen feels and what it costs
Cabinetry is usually 40 to 50 percent of a kitchen budget, and it is the item with the longest lead time. Getting the order right the first time is most of the job. We measure the room ourselves, account for out-of-square walls and the floor slope that older Asheville houses always have, and lay out the run so fillers and end panels land where nobody notices them.
What we offer
- Semi-custom lines. Standard boxes with a wide range of door styles, finishes and interior options. Best value for most kitchens, six to ten week lead time.
- Custom cabinetry. Built to the exact opening, for odd walls, deep pantries, appliance panels and anything a catalog cannot do.
- Inset and full-overlay doors. Inset costs more and needs a flatter installation; we tell you honestly whether the wall will support the look.
- Interior hardware. Soft-close hinges and glides, drawer organizers, trash pull-outs, spice and tray dividers, lighting inside glass doors.
- Islands and pantry walls. Built and anchored so counters and overhangs are supported, not floating on shims.
Installation is where quality shows
Cabinets ship square, walls are not. We shim and scribe to the wall, level the run to a laser line rather than the floor, and anchor into blocking or studs. Doors and drawers are adjusted at the end, after the counters go on, because stone weight moves a base run slightly.
Timeline
Measure to install is usually six to ten weeks, mostly lead time. The install itself takes two to four days for a typical kitchen, plus a return visit after countertop template for final adjustment.
We work in Asheville, Hendersonville, Arden, Candler, Fletcher, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Mills River, Brevard and Waynesville.

Frequently asked questions
What do kitchen cabinets cost installed?
Most kitchens land between $12,000 and $40,000 for the cabinet package installed. Box construction, door style and how many specialty units you add drive the number more than the size of the room.
Custom or semi-custom?
Semi-custom covers most kitchens well and costs less. Go custom when the walls are irregular, the ceiling height needs full-height uppers, or you want appliance panels and furniture-style pieces a catalog does not carry.
How long is the lead time?
Six to ten weeks for semi-custom, ten to sixteen for custom. We do not start demolition until the delivery date is confirmed, so you are not living around an open kitchen.
Can you install cabinets I buy myself?
Yes, though we measure and verify the order first. Most of the install problems we get called about start with a package ordered from a showroom measurement that never happened.
